    Forgotten Shores picks up right where the last game picks off, and for the most part its just as good. The puzzles are still fresh and original and it feels just like the first game. If there was one thing about it that could be improved is the lack of imagination with the new levels. They seem to use the same tired tricks from the first game.     I really like the Monument Valley game, and when I found out that it made additional bite him right away. The game is very much rooting for new ideas, which we have never seen in the main game. Perhaps the only negative in length could be attributed to it, because scrolling out in about an hour.

    Forgotten Shores is an add on that adds another 8 levels to the game. Although it is in the same visual style, I found Forgotten Shores to be more aesthetically pleasing with bolder colors and more unique landscapes. The puzzles, while not difficult, do allow for some fun brain twisting. The story is not progressed at all, you just walk around solving puzzles and leaving relics at the endForgotten Shores is an add on that adds another 8 levels to the game. Although it is in the same visual style, I found Forgotten Shores to be more aesthetically pleasing with bolder colors and more unique landscapes. The puzzles, while not difficult, do allow for some fun brain twisting. The story is not progressed at all, you just walk around solving puzzles and leaving relics at the end of each monument. Overall I felt more "wow" moments than in the original game. For the price of $2 you get about an hour of game play with little to no replay-ability. If you enjoyed the first game, you will enjoy this as it is more of the same, just a little bit better.… Expand

    A couple of ectra levels for the base game - a bit more difficult and creative but this is what I would expect for DLC.

    Monument Valley is enjoyable in the same way the Mona Lisa is enjoyable, once you see it once the magic is over. Adding to this feeling is the complete lack of challenge and the short playtime of around an hour. There is no replay value what-so-ever, once the game is over it is over.

    As removed from arbitrary goals and expectations as the original game, and perhaps more so, Forgotten Shores is a guided tour of unfettered imagination. There is challenge to be found, certainly, but not in the lifeless, measurable sense.
