    Miitomo is historical. It's Nintendo's first foray into the world of mobile apps. Miitomo is fun. It's all about listening to random answers to random questions. Miitomo is charming. You can't help but smile at all the different kinds of Miis people make and the reactions they have. Miitomo is cute. Really, the first time you see your Mii in a sandwich outfit, you will "Dawww!"Miitomo is historical. It's Nintendo's first foray into the world of mobile apps. Miitomo is fun. It's all about listening to random answers to random questions. Miitomo is charming. You can't help but smile at all the different kinds of Miis people make and the reactions they have. Miitomo is cute. Really, the first time you see your Mii in a sandwich outfit, you will "Dawww!" Miitomo, unfortunately, is a testament to Nintendo's inability to tap its potential.

    The potential is everywhere. You can doll up your Mii, but you can't decorate your room. Your Mii wanders around your room apparently happy, but he's secretly dying of boredom since you can't do anything with him. You can come up with your own answers to pre-rendered questions, yet you can't come up with your own questions. You have friends lists, but you can't send direct messages or even organize them or add personal information to them (such as making a note of who your Facebook Miis are).

    Of course, I expect too much. I do enjoy answering and listening to questions, but I'm also discouraged to play when the coins that I receive dry up. This happens in the first five minutes, and you only get a couple hundred a day, along with sign in bonuses, so it takes forever to save up enough coin in order to buy new clothing. Yes, it's "free to start" but it's still inexcusable to cap the amount of in-game currency you can earn.

    Miitomo needs to evolve and it needs to evolve immediately. As it stands, it's just a thing to check on every now and then and maybe, just maybe, one of your friends will have an interesting or entertaining answer to give you. Yes, it's being pitched as a social app, but it's begging for so much! It needs room decorating; it needs more min-games; it needs gifting to friends. It needs just about every other standard that most mobile apps and games have now.    … Expand

    Fantastic start to the world of apps for Nintendo! If you can read you will enjoy this game. A great way to socialize by answering questions that you are not normally asked. Well done, Nintendo, keep them coming!

    I seriously don't see the appeal of this at all, even judging it only as a "social experience". So incredibly boring, hardly anything to do in this game.

    Poor content, I have tried it for 5 days, but I did everything you can do in the first 30 minutes. The app invites you to have an social experience whit your real friends (that is the main propose in this app), but also incentives you to have a lot of people that you dont know, because the app gives to you coins for interact whit they. Thai is contradictory!

    An enjoyable social media "game." One that has that classic sense of Nintendo originality to make it all the more charming. Given that is more on the social media side of things there isn't much actual gameplay. The enjoyment comes from the unique way you can interact with others. So the more people you connect with the better Miitomo is.

    It's all about answering questions about yourself and reading other people's answers. It's a pretty clever way to share your interests while learning about your friends and/or family. It doesn't sound like much and to be honest it really isn't. However Nintendo is able to add a sense of fun to it all and throw in some rewards to make it worthwhile.

    You can also deck out your Mii with some new gear. You can import your Mii from your other Nintendo systems by linking your Nintendo account or make a new one just for the game. Either way it's entertaining to interact with your (fully voiced) virtual doppelganger.

    Another exciting thing about Miitomo is the potential is has. Nintendo has the power to expand upon it in interesting ways and I really hope they do so. Possibly with integration to their future games and the upcoming NX.

    While this sort of limited social media design might not appeal to everyone, the free-to-play model makes it at least worth a look. With some work on Nintendo's part this could end up being Facebook-lite for Nintendo fans. As it stands now it's a fun diversion. One worth checking out and has the potential to keep you coming back even in it's current state. I can't wait to see where they take things from here.    … Expand

    OK if you're used to mobile games like Clash of Clans which is of course, fun, purposeful and highly involving, then Miitomo will be on the other end - boring, random and nothing much to do. Otherwise it's an OK start for Nintendo's first go at mobile "gaming" if you could even call it that. I haven't written this off, but Nintendo will need to make get players more involved with moreOK if you're used to mobile games like Clash of Clans which is of course, fun, purposeful and highly involving, then Miitomo will be on the other end - boring, random and nothing much to do. Otherwise it's an OK start for Nintendo's first go at mobile "gaming" if you could even call it that.     While Mittomo was an alright idea Nintendo just could not deliver on it. I've always been skeptical about Nintendo's future apps and Miitomo really isn't clearing any of my worries away. Yes it is cool that we can interact with friends but there is not much to do. We are not stupid Nintendo we know that Miitomo was just a cash grab.     Don't get me wrong, I love the concept at work here, and the execution is generally pretty good. It almost feels like a social experiment to see what you're willing to admit to whatever group of people you end up inviting to your circle, and you can play dress-up for extra points.

After which, all the app will ask you is what you had for breakfast, or what you did over the weekend, or what you were just doing, ad infinitum. So once you've exhausted the questions and your friends' responses to them, there is absolutely no reason to keep using the app unless you're the sort who's willing to grind the daily tasks for the slow trickle of My Nintendo points.    … Expand

    First Nintendo app so, everything can't be perfect in here. It is a simple social media attempting to make you know better your friends, in which it does ok, also it is very funny to take pictures and make memes or anything you want with it, which is an unexpectedly enjoyable feature, the amount of costumes and outfits is right, and increasing day by day, which is always excellent.

It is a simple social media attempting to make you know better your friends, in which it does ok, also it is very funny to take pictures and make memes or anything you want with it, which is an unexpectedly enjoyable feature, the amount of costumes and outfits is right, and increasing day by day, which is always excellent.

    Bad thing is it lacks other activities, being the pseudo-crane game the only one to get special items, or the crappy candies most of the time; I think the game needs serious content updates to provide more minigames to make it more entertaining, also a way to customize your room would be really appreciated, since it seems like a lost feature rather than intended in that way.

    So, if you don't have many friends to add, this app will bore you pretty quickly, otherwise, you will find a funny app to share photos and comments on your friends.    … Expand

The way you "play" this app is very awkward and annoying. The game is centred around a Mii you created yourself, you must look after and give it new clothes and accessories, kind of like Tomodachi Life. But unlike Tomodachi Life thisMiitomo at first looks like a fun app with it's beautiful graphics and unique game style but it then it quickly turns a different path and does the opposite. The way you "play" this app is very awkward and annoying. The game is centred around a Mii you created yourself, you must look after and give it new clothes and accessories, kind of like Tomodachi Life. But unlike Tomodachi Life this game completely rips it off from every design and detail. Not to mention the new features are terrible. The happy,quirky,funny Miis that you know for Tomodachi Life are now united and replaced with annoying, giddy and obnoxious characters that constantly ask you pointless questions every minute!!!!! One thing I will give credit to is that it at least tries something a bit more new that no other Mii game has done before. Miitomo tries to be a "social" app like Instagram or Snapchat with it's 12+ rating but fails completely. The new mini-games are ridiculous and pointless. This game admittedly is the weakest of the Mii franchise. If you looking for a cool virtual pet or social media app it's best recommended to stay away from this one. … Expand

    There is nothing to expect with this one. It's just another dull, boring and pointless app that tries to be cool with kids. Fortunately there's a few good things I have to say. Allthough the music and graphics are nice that doesn't help the game one bit. Miitomo looks like a "Tomodachi Life" game but has new features, but unfortunately they are ridiculous and pointless.     It’s a social experience more than a true game, but like Tomodachi Life, Miitomo is aware that it’s a niche game and wears its quirkiness proudly on its sleeve. There’s plenty of incentive to check in daily to earn Platinum Points for those looking to snag rewards from My Nintendo, but I highly recommend people give this one a download simply to try something different. There are plenty of endless runners and match-three puzzlers on the iOS and Android marketplaces; Miitomo is unique, which I’d expect no less from Nintendo.
