    I played this on PC. It asks for your imagination, your own solutions, your creativity in a degree I've rarely or never before seen in a platformer. It has three very characteristic worlds, each used in the gameplay as more than simple background/setting. The difficulty is a mix of casual and hardcore, I imagine kids would mostly love it, but some places require help from someone who canI played this on PC. The frustrating bits are when your plan goes wrong and you have to erase your drawing, or when you slip into a deadly fall. Sometimes your stuff goes wrong, but with patience, you will see many cool ideas packed into this game.… Expand

    I love Max and the Magic Marker more in concept than in execution. If the platforming elements were tighter, and if the exploration elements were properly accommodated by the game, then this could be something truly special. However, as it stands, what you have is a game that is at times brilliant, but mostly frustrating.

    If you've somehow held off getting this so far, now is definitely the time to enjoy one of the most creative and engaging indie platformers around.

    It's a shame that this porting of Max & The Magic Marker is the most poor version so far. Despite the developers' efforts, the small screen of the iPhone makes impossible to draw accurate lines and shapes. The iPad version is slightly better, but it still has some problems with the controls.
