So there it is. One of the coolest features from a 1990s Super Nintendo game, wrapped within a colorful exterior starring one of the cutest video game characters we've seen since Cut the Rope's Om Nom. Download it now, thank us later.

Beneath Land-a Panda's adorable exterior is a surprisingly solid physics-based puzzler that's an absolute steal at it's bottom-shelf price of $0.99.

A fun, refreshingly easy to enjoy puzzler for all ages.

Although the one-button gameplay is exceedingly simple to learn, the levels themselves are complex enough to keep your mind engaged, and there are a ton of them to work through.

Combining Cut The Rope-style gameplay with Big Pixel's familiar graphic style, this has the makings of an addictive and high-score-competitive gem.

If you remember any of the barrel blasting sequences from the Donkey Kong Country series, Land-a Panda is like an extreme homage to these.

Land-a Panda boasts excellent visuals, a long-term challenge and engaging physics-based gameplay, only slightly undone by some minor control grievances

Land-a Panda's simple concept, addictive gameplay and charming art direction make it a standout among thousands of mediocre apps and make buying it a no-brainer.

This physics puzzler is great to look at, and fun to play, if not a bit challenging. But, it wouldn't be much of a puzzler if it didn't puzzle you, I suppose.

The verdict: Land-A Panda is quite average. But the tantalizing price point and the cute graphics seem to balance out the average gameplay, along with the ton of content involved.

It's fun, challenging, has plenty of replay value, and is just plain cute.

Though it reminds me strangely of games like Angry Birds, Land-A-Panda is definitely still well worth investigating in its own right. If nothing else, the birds have had their fun; it's time for another species to dominate the skies instead.

If anything, Land-A Panda could have probably benefitted from cranking up the evil earlier on. For the first 20-odd levels, it's all a bit of a foregone conclusion.

One of those games you can happily dip in and out of over a period of weeks.

Boredom from repition kicks in once in a while, only to be counteracted by the introduction of a new gameplay mechanic. Totally worth your 99 cents. Full Review »
