Dec 15, 2011Most of the parts of the original game, which worked for kids apparently, is fairly well translated in this version. And even though it lacks 1:1 body-to-game interaction, I think a solid connection can still be formed between digital cat and real, whiny "Give Me A Pet" kid.

Apr 12, 2012The iOS version of Microsoft puppies island is a very funny pastime, probably more suitable for kids or very young players rather than hardcore ones. Nevertheless, from a technical viewpoint Frontier IP offers very good graphics, an immediate gameplay and, last but not least, an excellent control-system.

Dec 21, 2011Microsoft's motivations aside, Kinectimals still proves itself to be a cute way to indulge the inner pet owner in everyone. As long as players go in with realistic expectations of a kid-targeted experience, there is plenty to enjoy and even more to love.

Jan 3, 2012A game that young children will enjoy. Zooming in on your pet can giving it a nice rub under the chin and hearing it purr is just a heart-warming activity, even for my black, cynical soul. There's plenty of content on offer here, and while some of it is repetitive and there are some accuracy issues with some of the motions, this is the perfect game for young children and for anyone that needs some more cuteness in their lives.

Dec 27, 2011Kinectimals on iOS does exactly what you would expect: it's a portable version of the original game which allows you to pet your puppy anytime, and for an audience of kids it's definitely a good deal for a low price.

Dec 19, 2011Bottom line, a lot of attention (perhaps too much) went into making the cats look impressive, and thankfully, they are. You can see a personality in their eyes that most virtual pet games lack, and before long, you may even begin to think about the animal throughout the day as if it were real.
