Sep 16, 2011There are traces of a good game in Julius Styles: The International, but they vanish in a sea of failed attempts. The developers clearly set their sights beyond the mediocre, integrating puzzles, combat and a complex dialog system lifted from big-budget titles like Alpha Protocol. Unfortunately, the developers possess neither the budget nor the know-how to implement these ideas properly, and they end up turning what would otherwise be a merely mediocre title, into a truly terrible one.
