There are no leaderboards, timers, extra modes, characters, or any of that stuff. Heck, there’s hardly even any color. But there’s still something to be said for a game so focused on one single, brilliant idea, and Hocus is a fine example of that.

Hocus delivers an engaging puzzle experience that is well worth picking up.

The minimal graphics are aesthetically pleasing, the music is soothing, controls are intuitive, and the puzzles can be challenging.

For those who make it through the first 50 puzzles, there is a promise of more challenges coming soon. Even without more levels, the reasonable $0.99 download cost is a value for the experience.

It starts out easy and lets you learn how to move around to get to the end but then it gets complicated. It's kind of a simple "Monument Valley".

There are no adds in the free version but neither can you access all of the levels. Overall a fun game. Good one for waiting around in an office.
