There's so much that could have been amazing about Heroki. It just falls so short, and it genuinely makes me sad. It pains me for so many reasons to say bad things about Heroki because of what the game could potentially stand for. But as a game? It's just not great.

Great landscapes and a very sweet 2D experience are the best parts of this new side scrolling adventure from Sega and Picomy. But the controls needs a readjustment.

Heroki is a gorgeous looking game, but the gameplay is far too thin to keep the player interested for a long time.

It might look amazing, but there are too many little problems here to wholeheartedly recommend the game.

Heroki looks ready to soar, but sadly doesn’t stay afloat making it one to skip.

Outstanding job and I'm curious what Picomy will make next! Full Review »

The Metrovania-ish levels levels are greatly designed and the overall take on a platformer game has been perfectly executed.

My only gripe is that I can't play this on my Wii-u *hint hint
