At first it reminded me of Magic the Gathering, only simplified so it was easy to get into. I tried to build up my characters and decks. They introduced a new deck. There were way too many cards flying around. It felt like I was grinding to level up and get more cards. I admittedly spent money on the game, but never got a great card, just many bad ones. Even still I was able to beat my opponents. I can see how people can get really good at this, but to me it doesn't feel like a game it feels like work. How much money do you have to spend to get to the competition level I wonder? While it is a well built game and I did get sucked into it there was a lack of animation, gameplay mechanics, music, and well it felt a bit like a browser based mmorpg from the 90's but with touch screen. Early players do certainly have a hard time though because they don't have cards that go together. That's the trick of the game, to use complimentary cards.
People who pay a Ton or invest enormous amounts of time can be overwhelming, but the usually play ranked and don't ruin the game.
My Major complaint is with optimization. I crashed FOUR TIMES in a single game! That's Never acceptable, especially since they don't extend your turn if you crash, forfeiting a turn.
Fix this issue and it's fun, for everyone besides immediately new players, who need to get better cards.

    This game sucks.
ALL RNG based game, it doesn't care your deck, the amount of RNG on cards involved makes this game totally unfair and an Ode to MEDIOCRITY.

Unstable connections + rigged win/lose system. The more you pay - the more lucky card draws you'll get. Also a lot of bots that play withour mistakes, farming gold/rank/arena.

The game was okay until you get to the part where they ban you for daring to express the opinion that basic freedoms should be enjoyed by all. Unfortunately, the game is secretly a digital front for an authoritarian regime.

If you're readings reviews of Hearthstone, you've probably come across some common complaints. All of these are founded, and cripple an extremely well-polished foundation.

Many users complain of the gameplay's reliance on RNG. While it's true that your starting hand and the cards you draw can win or lose you a game -- and will, quite frequently -- it's hard to imagine how this can be remedied, at this point. Skill, while important to some extent, does not seem the focus.

Even more troubling for me, a relatively new player, is in difficulty you will find in building a competitive deck. The game will generate daily quests for you, with the ability to earn in-game currency to buy packs of new cards. Unfortunately, these grant relatively small amounts of gold, and may require you to use decks and cards you have no interest in.

The game allows you to craft any card, so long as you have the requisite dust, a resource gained by disenchanting other cards. While this is a fantastic idea in theory, the amount of dust you receive for disenchanting even the most valuable of cards is so disgustingly minimal that new players will have to trash their entire collection to build the deck they want. The only way around this is to buy packs with real, cold hard cash. Spend enough real-world money, and you can build any deck you want.

Because ranks are reset every month, a new player will inevitably encounter experienced foes with perfect, meticulously groomed decks, implements they have paid hundreds of dollars to acquire. This leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

When it doesn't feel like it's stabbing you in the back and openly mocking you, the game can be fun and addicting. Alas, the core gameplay is flawed, and neutralizes most measures of skill. Additionally, by any reasonable interpretation of the term, this is indeed a pay-to-win title. Or at least a pay-to-be-competitive title, because the RNG will still prevent your victory a times, no matter what your skill or deck.

This is without a doubt the most pay to win game I've ever played. I come back to this game after a year, and now that the whole meta is changed and I'm missing a lot of cards, I have to buy all the cards to be able to win a single game.

They want their golden gooses happy and feel special about themselves by fixing game outcome into their favor. Its also great businesses model to make free to play users frustrated to open their wallets for latest overpowered in order to have better chances of winning. That's the another issue. Fresh released cards packs are overpowered and soon new one pack is released old one gets rework and nerf.

That means that free user who played for months to get few cards will get something much less power cards in return and with that concluded you can recognize the pattern of pay to win system.

Community is horrible. Any constructive critics and/or suggestion will be backlash-ed by golden gooses who enjoy winning in rigged, pay to win system and though feel as they accomplished something!
