    Taking to the stage is an absolute blast, and there’s something to be said for the unique MTV-style approach of GHTV. The new guitar is tougher to use, but maybe a new challenge is exactly what old pros need.

    Heck, you don't have to pay anything if you don't want to, as the damn thing is free if you just want to try it out first. And you should, because it really is Guitar Hero on iOS, and that's pretty awesome.

    Guitar Hero Live is well worth picking up for the most advanced Apple TV experience so far.

    It may be akin to sacrilege when we say that the mobile version of Guitar Hero matches and even betters the original classic. We say this because you can now carry your guitar (read smartphone) and play it anywhere – on trams, buses, in the subway, on the couch, and even when you sit on the crapper. Need we say more? Rock on.

    If you have no other recourse, then getting the iOS version of Guitar Hero Live might be for you. But even then you may want to reconsider.

    Do yourself a favour and play GH Live PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, before touching the IOS version.
