Dec 16, 2017The artwork is gorgeous and some of the puzzles are very intricate but so much of this game is just trial and error. It's beautiful and the person who made it is clearly a genius but it's just not much fun and personally I didn't find it a deep or moving experience that some seem to think.

games(TM)Feb 22, 2018A simple and highly affecting puzzler. [Issue#197, p.72]

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Feb 16, 2018Melancholic expedition to magical realism that emphasizes the artistic power of an independent scene. We definitely recommend the game on a mobile platform, it fits better there. [Issue#282]

Jan 30, 2018Gorogoa crafts its inventive, sliding-tile puzzles and magical world with a graceful simplicity across a compact but fulfilling adventure. The excitement of solving each puzzle may be lost on a repeat playthrough, but its hand-drawn art and clever payoffs are no less satisfying to watch unfold again and again. Gorogoa manages to say so much without uttering a single word, endowing it with a mystery that invites a more attentive, thoughtful revisit — and one that I was more than happy to accept.
