It's priced correctly, plays wonderfully, and controls nicely.

One of the early examples of what the iPad can do graphically. If you want a game to show off your iPad, this one works well. It also serves as a fine example of how to do excellent analog control on a touchscreen.

With 7 stellar game modes and some insanely addictive gameplay in each of them, plus the added features of Achievements and Leaderboards Geometry Wars: Touch will keep you in a trance-like state for hours and weeks and months to come.

Those who paid the $10 fee when it was an iPad exclusive are essentially getting the iPhone game for free, and those who haven't purchased the game yet should jump at the 50%-off price, because it might not last long.

Pretty good. It does have a couple of problems in that the leaderboard system does not have a friends list, and the game, sometimes gets a little too frantic for touch controls.

As a port to Apple's i-devices, Geometry Wars: Touch is a great addition to anyone's portable game library. The only hardship is the controls take a long time to get used to, but as we've found in our testing and just by looking at the leaderboards, it can be done.

Geometry Wars: Touch is not the perfect port because, let's face it, there is no substitute for a pair of physical sticks. You just cannot duplicate that kind of precision with virtual sticks.

Geometry Wars: Touch for iPad is quite addicting, even if it feels a bit dated compared to other dual-stick shooters.

An acute mix of intense twin-stick shooter action and dazzling visuals hampered by awkward controls.
