Oct 20, 2011Mobile game sequels are hit or miss, as some developers just slap a new skin on an older game. Halfbrick did that with one of the game's modes, but the Bandito mode as well as the humor in the Puss in Boots character makes this version unique. If you played the original, the new mode is worth the purchase, and if you never experienced Fruit Ninja, Puss in Boots is the perfect way to get started.

Nov 1, 2011If you could only have one Fruit Ninja game on your phone, I'd tell you to keep the original. It has a lot more to offer. But Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots is well worth playing, even if it's more expansion than stand-alone.
-
Oct 26, 2011While remaining very similar to its predecessor, the Puss In Boots version brings with it an exciting new game mode that makes the sequel a worthwhile pick-up.
-
Oct 25, 2011Like Angry Birds Rio, Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots is a much better game than it needed to be. Pick it up!
-
Oct 25, 2011It's a very good game that's a lot of fun. It's just that the original offers pretty much the exact same experience with a lot more content and modes. If someone already owns Fruit Ninja, I can't really think of a reason why they'd also want this version. Unless they're a huge fan of the movie or the actor, anyway.
-
Oct 20, 2011On the one hand, I'm a little disappointed to see that not every mode from Fruit Ninja has made its way into Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots. On the other, though, there's a part of me that would have happily paid for Bandito mode as a standalone game. It's just that much fun.
-
Oct 20, 2011Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots shows how to make movie tie-in's work without being overbearing; Bandito mode brings a real Arcade flair to the original Fruit Ninja formula, while thematic touches give the game charm.
-
Oct 20, 2011If Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots is any indicator of where the Fruit Ninja series is heading in future installments, I for one am excited.
-
Oct 21, 2011A fun evolution of the classic formula that anyone who enjoyed the original will certainly enjoy. We wish they would've included some more unlockable goodies, but besides that, there's really not much to complain about. Pick this one up for a fun, casual, and occasionally explosive experience.
-
Oct 25, 2011While it adds a great new game mode, Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots doesn't quite have enough extra content to make it essential.
-
Nov 15, 2011It's a pity developer Halfbrick was hypnotised by DreamWorks's cash, because a deeper Desperado could have been a fantastic Fruit Ninja sequel.
-
Oct 31, 2011Other than the ability to watch the trailer for the film, there isn't much different about Fruit Ninja: Puss In Boots. As far as fruit-ninjaing goes, stick with the original.
