    There are two ways to defeat an opponent: destroy every one of the opponent's units on the map or capture the opponent's headquarters. The terrain on a map affects unit range of movements and the defense attributes of units stationed in that terrain. Capturing cities and enemy buildings will give the player new fundings at the beginning of each turn, with which the player can create a variety of new units (soldiers, tanks, planes, ships...) to gain power over his opponent.    … Expand

    Front Wars is not perfect by any means. It's derivative, its tutorial is lacking, and its translation is sub-par. But if you're aching for a new Advance Wars experience, or if you'd just like to see its formula applied to a real-life war, you could do worse than hang with this shell-shocked soldier for a while.

    Clearly a clone of Advance Wars, Front Wars doesn't try to hide its influences. Nevertheless, it's worthy of investigation.
