Authenticity was always FIFA's strong hand. Now that the gameplay is world class too, this is the most realistic footy sim available, by a mile.

If you want great soccer (football), paired with in-depth management and multifaceted gameplay that can be complex but doesn't need to be, look no further.

While it may not be quite as visually stunning as a next-gen console version, it is far superior to last year's version, and with more than 500 teams from 20-plus leagues (including international teams for the first time) season and manager modes, FIFA 12 offers more soccer than you can handle on your iPad and iPhone.

The revamped controls are a little better than previous efforts, but the entire package of enhanced graphics and amazing number of fully licensed teams and players really puts FIFA 12 above the rest.

FIFA 12 is simply the best portable soccer game of this generation. Virtual players and also virtual managers will be proud of the purchase.

While the lack of multiplayer is disappointing, FIFA 12 is still an impressive game in its own right. The updates from last year and attention to detail make this THE Football game on iOS.

Featuring beautiful graphics, realistic animations, and improved controls, FIFA 12 is the first serious contender to challenge First Touch Soccer for iOS football supremacy.

A fabulous football simulation that stops just shy of full marks.

Raising the game in terms of its slick and sleek delivery, FIFA 12 stands up to its big billing on the pitch, serving as EA's ultimate attempt on goal to date.

EA has really upped its game with this edition. [Christmas 2011, p.93]

A very good football game that has a great manager mode as its main new feature. As a football simulator, it is also great.

It's FIFA. While the controls have been streamlined and a robust manager mode has been added, whether you drop the money on this year's release comes down to how big a fan of the series you are.

FIFA 12 goes a long way towards proving me wrong, providing a genuinely compelling gameplay experience and presentation that, while not up to the same standard as its console brethren, does a very good job regardless. FIFA 12 is a nice way to get your FIFA fix on the go.

Fifa 12 on iOS is probably the best soccer game available on the App Store; unfortunately there is some serious lacking of game modes - most of all the multiplayer -, and the improvements over the last year are mostly minimal.

This game is best served for the soccer faithful who wants a deep game on the go, more than just the casual player looking for a quick game on the go.
