What we get here is a free-to-play, re-skin of "The Simpsons: Tapped Out!". There's definitely some fun to be had here, but it is hard to respect it considering it is a shameless rip-off. It even has the same synopsis of the main character destroying and having to rebuild the town.

As far as fan-service goes, the game looks exactly like the show and is filled with characters and references. The actual humor isn't bad and may even garner a chuckle every now and then. It's all pretty decent and is worth a look for the fans. Whether or not the fans will stick with it for the long run I really can't say.

As far as gameplay goes you're basically just rebuilding Qhahog and sending characters on quests. It's all pretty entertaining and you can play the entire thing without paying a cent. However not paying means you'll have to wait on timers for things to complete, but it's not the worst alternative out there. It just means progress is slower than I would like.

Overall I feel like it's a decent game. Yes, it wants you to invest in it's micro-transactions. Yes, it is an obvious rip-off of a better game. But you'll notice when playing it that these issues are actually quite ignorable. Like I said before if you're a Family Guy fan then this is worth a look. Who knows, you may even find a game that will stay on your mobile device for quite some time.

Based on the popular cartoon TV series, Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff is a free-to-play (but not free-to-progress) mobile game, which is clearly a copy of The Simpsons: Tapped Out. Quest For Stuff also looks like every other game that the developers (TinyCo) make. The story starts in Quahog, and the Griffin family (Peter, Lois, Chris, Meg, Brian and Stewie) have just received information that they had been cancelled for a second time. (Family Guy first got cancelled in 2002) When the Griffins (and everyone else in Quahog) arrive at City Hall for a town meeting, it turns out that Ernie The Giant Chicken cancelled Quahog's TV series (Family Guy) so Peter and the Giant Chicken have another fight (He already tried to kill Peter in Season 2, 4, 7 and 12) The fight ends up so chaotic that it destroys all of Quahog. Then the game starts. You have to rebuild Quahog and get all of its people back. A fan of the show will have fun with this, but if you play for 2 weeks and you don't spend any real money to get Clams and Dollars, the game will quickly get boring. In fact, this is one of the most money-grabbing games ever made. A whole Quest was made about spending real money, you had to buy a box of Dollars in order to get £2.99/$4.99 worth of Clams!! I would describe this game as free-to-play, but not free-to-progress. (like I mentioned earlier) There are also actions to complete within the many citizens of Quahog, these actions are all related to what the characters like to do in the show, like Peter dancing to Surfin' Bird, Jerome hosting Happy Hour at the Drunken Clam or Quagmire 'Giggity Strutting'. These actions all take quite a long time to finish. Like Peter's Overeat action, Pay a bunch of extremely valuable Clams or wait 6 hours for Peter to finish! Clearing blocks can also take a couple of hours, and some actions take a whole day to finish!!! The Quest For Stuff also gets monthly updates, the latest one being The Quahog Comic-Con Events, meaning that sci-fi nerds now surround Quahog, and if tapped can give you 2 Energy Drinks (The Comic-Con currency) There is also an extra block cleared in the update, so that it makes room for the Quahog Convention Centre and a hotel. Overall, Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff is a slightly above average money-grabbing iOS and Android mobile game that stays at a score of 6/10 if you plan not to spend any real money. Expand

It's not that bad but it wouldn't exist if the Simpson's Tapped Out game didn't. It's a copy of it in a lot of ways. And not as addictive either. Just like Family Guy the show; this wouldn't exist if the Simpson's didn't first.

Full of edgy humour, but the designers forgot to add an actual game.

Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff is a funny casual game, at least for a few minutes. Then it becomes an uninspiring, dull, linear, annoying freemium experience.

Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff doesn't come near the quality of the show. It's a shameless rip-off of The Simpsons: Tapped Out!, but doesn't compensate for its lack of originality.
