Jun 27, 2011Ankama's first iPhone game, Dofus Battle, is a success: based on a tower defense concept, the game cleverly distances itself from the competition courtesy of a very solid narrative, honed gameplay and unique visual style.

Jul 11, 2011Dofus: Battles is an excellent game that puts together dynamics typical of a tower defense with those of an RPG. Even though the price is slightly above the average of the AppStore, it shouldn't be missed by lovers of the genre.

Jun 6, 2011The mechanics of each character are different enough that constructing the ultimate army is a compelling pursuit.

Jan 28, 2026A great mixture of some of my favorite strategy genres. Hopefully in future updates, Ankama will increase the level cap and add more levels and mini-games.
-
Jun 1, 2011The high production values and ridiculously in-depth history, bestiary and other reading material alone is enough to make Dofus: Battles an easy recommendation, so it's nice the game itself is actually enjoyable.
-
May 18, 2011Dofus: Battles explores the tactical side of the line-defense style of gameplay, adding some depth along with a decent story to keep you hooked until the end.

Jun 28, 2011DOFUS : Battles is a kind of evolved Plants vs Zombies-like, perfectly designed for the iOS platforms. The characters that will have to contain the waves of enemies and prevent them from reaching the far back of the grid can gain levels and be equipped, in the regular RPG style. Sadly though, the majority of the 12 character classes don't seem to be much useful to obtain victory map after map. That's even more a shame that apart from this game design flaw, there's not much else to blame.
