Death Road to Canada is another masterpiece from a partnership that keeps cranking out the hits.

A dark, funny, and super tough mix of genres. And mobile is as good a place as any to start your journey with it.

Oh Death Road to Canada, how I’ve waited for this moment. How I’ve longed for getting digital facsimiles of myself and my friends killed as I clumsily try to make my way through your particular brand of zombie apocalypse. So you have a few flaws. I have several myself. What truly matters is that we can finally be together — and I can’t ever imagine a day where that won’t be the case again.

I generally have a low tolerance for control issues in games, but Death Road to Canada is just so fun that I want to keep playing it even when I don't love the way it feels. That goes to show just how great this game is. Death Road to Canada is a fantastic game that you shouldn't miss.

Aside from the clunky controls, Death Road to Canada is an enjoyable title that offers plenty of replay value. The retro pixel art graphics bring a smile to your face, the music and sound effects are awesome, and the gameplay is rather challenging. Believe me — you will be dying a lot in this game, but it doesn’t get tiring because each attempt brings a fresh new set of characters and events to encounter, and hey, who doesn’t like to bash in zombie hordes?

I found the gameplayIt's a cute little game which is definitely a bit of fun with friends, but overall I can't really leave a glowing review. I found the gameplay to get repetitive fairly quickly, and the game often left me frustrated due to it's largely luck based decision making which persists throughout the entire game. The game has some quirky and amusing writing here and there which accompanies the boisterous music and gameplay, making for a silly, high-energy game. The minimalist pixel-art style is fine but not all that memorable, and the the very simple animation doesn't help much either. There's some rogue-lite elements and gameplay settings which can spice up each run, but I found that it never really affected the core gameplay enough that it made the very simple and very repetitive gameplay feel like much fun. Overall, it's a decent game, it's a decent rogue-lite and and pretty enjoyable co-op game in short bursts, but I really can't find anything that makes me want to leave a gleaming review. It offers a quirky yet enjoyable challenge and a wide range of odd but lovable characters and references. It's quite interesting how the game works and I love how it runs on it's references. The crazy randomness adds quite a good challenge as well. Full Review »
