    This is the best rally game on iOS. It brings back everything the original game had and makes it work almost flawlessly on iDevices.

    The core gameplay of Colin McRae Rally is more than solid. Its driving is fun and a challenge at the same time. Several technical issues will get you upset at the very end, but the biggest criticism goes to the surprisingly almost no content. Still, the new Colin McRae game deserves my recommendation, which is valid information at least for the rallye-positive gamers.

    It’s a great driving experience with an accurate feel to every move of the car, though the game style can grow a bit bland. Colin McRae Rally is worth picking up for some immersive rally racing.

    Colin McRae rally started its life as a PlayStation 1 game, and now it's on iOS. Sadly, there's no accompanying visual upgrade to make it look better on today's Retina screens.

    It’s not just retro, pixely platformers that deserve the port treatment. Colin McRae Rally was and still is a good racing game. The speed and handling remain just as tight as ever, and the game is sure to keep your hands sweaty as you try and keep your ride ahead of the competition.

    With the tools Codemasters has at its disposal here, the developer's delivered a mobile rally experience that's about as good as it gets - albeit one where a lack of true multiplayer seems like a bit of a missed opportunity. Even if the framerate wobbles a little, even on the latest Apple hardware, it still delivers a fun enough rally experience.

    In summary, Colin McRae Rally is a good game but with the series' heritage, it should have been a fantastic game. Perhaps the reason there wasn't a major fanfare about the iOS release was it was just cash-cow milking experiment.

    Nostalgic fans of the 1999 original will get a much-welcomed visual overhaul in Colin McRae Rally. Racing games have come a long way since then though, and this rally racer just doesn't keep up with what else the iPhone and iPad have to offer.

    I don't think you played the original, did you? Remember how in the original you had to drive    "Brings back everything the original had.."

    I don't think you played the original, did you? Remember how in the original you had to drive like a rally drive because it was a rally game? Remember how the competition was more than just a line on a bar? Remember when you had to use the brake?

It features little to none features above that of a generic racing game. Courses made so carelessly and routine that you couldn't even bang on about how they are "artistically designed." This game is so consumer subpar and they're are basically hundreds of other games like this that you can basically call this game a cookie-cutter of any other game, baked without care, comes out dry and crunch so this is where my analogy falls apart (much like this game.) Would not even give this to a friend as a torture game like Secret of Magic Crystal or Bad Rats, game so bad that they're hilarious but this, THIS is just arduous.… Full Review »

Forward facing sprites 2D Sprites and terrible background images, and the competition is just a bar on the screen with a slow CPU racer, they seem to be trying to hide that it was an iOS port on PC. You can just hold the accelerate the entire time to win the game and it was no fun at all. It was so trashy that the developers would have needed to pay ME to play this utter garbage if I knew what I was paying for.… Full Review »
