ChuChu Rocket!

Anyone who's never played ChuChu Rocket should feel obligated to give this version a try; it's a devastatingly clever (and crushingly difficult) puzzle game that feels like it was always meant to be on iPad.

Whether alone or with friends, Chu Chu Rocket retains the magic of the original and stamps its mark firmly on the iPhone puzzle scene.

ChuChu Rocket! is just one of the best puzzle games around, much as it was 10 years ago on the Dreamcast, and with the new touch interface it actually succeeds at being the definitive version to own.

Chu Chu Rocket looks and sounds as charming as the Dreamcast original. The graphics are simple, consisting of playfields with running mice and cats, but they're designed with the same Sonic Team charm.

Chu Chu Rocket is a faithful port of the 2000 Dreamcast puzzle game to iOS, where players lay down arrows to guide mice into their rocket, and cats away from that same rocket.

Unlike SEGA's previous revivals, ChuChu Rocket! feels perfectly at home on an iDevice, making this a must have for puzzle fans that haven't tried the original.

I am extremely happy to have Chu Chu Rocket back and in front of a potentially new audience on the iDevices.

Despite the competition though, this ten-year-old game shows no signs of fatigue, and still feels fresh to this day. The game promises more levels and features through updates, which can only improve the game… especially for seasoned ChuChu-veterans like myself.

Poorly upscaled visuals and a price wholly out-of-step with what you'd expect.

ChuChu Rocket! is a totally solid puzzle game, and it really does shine in multiplayer (especially if you can get four people gathered around an iPad for some same-device multiplayer). The game feels like it was always meant for a touch screen device, so I just hope that Sega can push out an update so everyone can enjoy this zany game for what it's meant to be.

ChuChu Rocket! fuels fun with challenging puzzle play, despite the absence of online multiplayer and control options.

ChuChu Rocket! for iPhone and iPod Touch is in some ways better than the original (thanks to the touch controls), but the lack of an online multiplayer mode is really deprecable.
