Catalyst Black: Action Shooter

Catalyst Black is an AAA-quality battleground shooter on mobile that features top-notch production value you can expect from the makers of VainGlory. Gameplay is smooth, stunning, fast-paced, and most of all, extremely fun - it doesn't really need to be anything more than that.

Catalyst Black is a brilliant mix between some typical aspects of MOBAs and competitive twin stick shooter mechanics, characterized by (almost) perfect touch controls and a very interesting progression system, which gradually unlocks weapons, objects, resources and content, allowing us to slowly access all the modes the game has to offer.

Catalyst Black is an entertaining shooter, but in a lot of ways it’s going to be pretty divisive. If it clicks with you then there’s a very good chance you’re going to spend the next couple of years engrossed in its violent action. But if it doesn’t, if it all gets a bit too much early on, there’s a good chance you won’t give it a second thought.

This shooter offers a lot of variety and feels good to play, but doesn’t have much of a personality.

Catalyst Black is gorgeous to look at and fun to play, with an impressive amount of depth behind its simple drop-in/drop-out gameplay loop. It’s the epitome of “one more game”, and while its Slayer mode is solid, its objective-based modes allow it to really shine.

The world of good mobile team-based shooters isn't exactly deep, which is what makes Catalyst Black such a breath of fresh air. The title has mechanics that are easy enough for anyone to learn, intuitive and fun controls, and best of all, is genuinely fun to play.
