    Gameplay also gets quite tedious after a while with nothing really changing. Every few levels, a special mission kicks in requiring players to build a specific structure out of the blocks but this is just a race against time rather than anything challenging. With arcade games, players are used to relatively short bursts but on a system like this, longevity would have been nice.

    Brick People starts off strong and interesting, but quickly reveals that it's only a one-trick pony.

    Brick People is high on repetition and noisy spectacle, low on meaningful depth or addictive elements. Kids will embrace it, but it's a shame the gameplay isn't as sticky as the product design. Instead of being a brick flung through the church window of mediocrity, it's just another brick in the wall.

    Unless you're just dying to play Brick People with someone you're sharing a room with, though, multiplayer doesn't really make up for a lackluster single-player experience.

    Brick People means well, but it's just not fun to play for more than five minutes. The App Store isn't hurting for fun arcade games, so unless you're a hardcore fan of Sega's arcade scene, let the little guys starve.
