    Aside from some stylish visuals, John Woo’s debut on mobile gaming feels like a big disappointment: Bloodstroke is a repetitive and uninspired action game, flawed by some really incoherent design.

    Bloodstroke is promising on the surface, but is much too shallow to recommend making it one to skip as it never evolves beyond the mindless simplicities. In the end, it’s a simplified version of Samurai II, which is a much better game to pick-up.

    A lightweight, odd action game that never makes you feel part of the fun, Bloodstroke is too muddled to really recommend.
