Goofy though it may be, Atomic Super Lander is awfully enjoyable. It's one of those games where even its rougher elements help add to the overall package. So long as you can keep a good sense of humor about your inevitable failures, you'll get plenty of laughs and thrills out of this one. I don't know if it's something I'll be playing over the long term, but I've certainly gotten my share out of it in the here and now. All of that without even a single Aerosmith song on the soundtrack.

If you're looking for a roguelike with a bunch of charm, Atomic Super Lander's got your back. It's not perfect, but its problems are easy to look past thanks to its charming execution on a fun concept.

A fun game that does a pretty good job of combining a couple of different types of genres together. It feels imprecise at times, and this (plus the randomness) can sometimes lead to frustration, but it’s also meant to be replayed after you inevitably lose so it’s not that big a deal. Mostly. Except when you fail because of said frustrations. Still, jumping back into things is easy enough.
