When you do manage to eke out a victory, however, and balloons are popping, Birds flying, and Pigs falling over, Angry Birds Blast is true to its name. It has much of the Pig-bashing and Bird-saving excitement we look for in our Angry Birds games, wrapped in the joy of puzzle-matching with dynamic power-ups. Although it sometimes feels too generic and like it missed out on some Angry Birds-specific thematic opportunities, we still consider this yet another bullet on the Birds’ long list of successful avian excursions and human diversions.

It's a match-stuff puzzler. And that's sort of all there is to say about it.

A Candy Crush-esque with the famous Angry Birds as leading characters. Not a blast to play, but it´s fun.

Angry Birds Blast! is a match-3 puzzle game with lots of levels, but the gameplay fails to deliver.

Angry Birds Blast is a totally decent matching puzzle game that unfortunately gets more and more frustrating the further you get into it. Though the base game has some strong concepts that reward strategy, there's a grind to the game that will likely turn you off unless you're a dedicated matching game player.

Kinda surprised to see such a low score here. This is a lot of fun! It’s a lot like Candy Crush, except I enjoy it more. It’s sort of like aKinda surprised to see such a low score here. This is a lot of fun! It’s a lot like Candy Crush, except I enjoy it more. It’s sort of like a match 3, except not exactly. You can do as little as two at the time and you don’t have to swap blocks around. Unfortunately, it’s not without its flaws. Like Candy Crush, there is an element of skill and foresight, but there is still the looming element of luck present here. It doesn’t matter how good you are if the only moves you can do make no impact on clearing the level (I find this happening quite a bit). But it’s fun because I find it to be a lot more challenging than Candy Crush was. I recommend it. Full Review »
