Oct 16, 2011Despite the mature content, 9mm is a phenomenal app that surpasses nearly all other games in the genre.
-
Jul 19, 2011Offering plenty of violence, some sexual themes, and more than a few dirty words, 9mm earns its 17+ rating and provides a highly-enjoyable experience for adult gamers looking for something a little grittier than your average shooter.
-
Jul 14, 20119mm is a slick, intense, and sometimes sick, ride. I wanted, and expected, guns, gangsters and violence… it delivered, and then some.
-
Nov 7, 2011It's messy but when it works – that is, when you're comfy with the controls, laying waste to a horde of Mexican gangsters and not being bothered by the nonsensical plot – it works rather well, and to sweeten the deal there's a full dose of multiplayer, in which we spent a lot of time getting one-shot killed by people with much better weapons.
-
Aug 1, 2011The inclusion of two multiplayer modes was an unexpected, but pleasant surprise.
-
Jul 27, 2011An entertaining and well executed action game with traces of Max Payne and True Crime. The single player campaign is a bit on the short side, but 9mm makes up for it with excellent multiplayer. Gameloft is at the top of their game.
-
Jul 18, 2011Both a triumph and a disappointment. The intriguing narrative and copycat firefights will keep you enthralled. At the same time, Gameloft blew the opportunity to do something unique, instead opting for a bunch of cliches that fail to make the game stand apart from the competition.
-
Jul 18, 2011If you like movies like Street Kings or spent time with TV shows like The Shield, you'll have an inkling of what to expect with 9mm's story; while it's storyline may not be quite as intense, the action helps to see you through to the end.
-
Jul 22, 20119mm is a good third person action with a solid gameplay and an interesting multiplayer. But there are several problems in the design starting from the controls, to the plot and the technical aspects of the game.
-
Aug 1, 20119mm includes some improved voice-acting, great online multiplayer, an interesting storyline, and an overall action-packed adventure that is sure to entice third-person shooter fans. Just note that the game isn't for everyone, and I personally thought the amount of language in this game was really unnecessary.
-
Jul 14, 20119mm is a great game in a lot of ways, but it relies very heavily on Gameloft shooter cliches we've seen a dozen times before.
-
Jul 22, 2011Quotation forthcoming.
-
Aug 4, 2011The latest Gameloft effort is only just acceptable. Although 9mm shoots straight with its multiplayer ability and interesting storyline, its other aspects are nowhere near as accurate. With limited graphics, playability issues and ridiculously short longevity, this game is a long way from being killer title material.
-
Aug 2, 2011It's a bit expensive and we have seen it all before but it does give a stereotypical amusement for a while.
-
Jul 27, 2011An ambitious attempt to bring the brooding action and noir storytelling of Max Payne to a platform that has seen nothing even remotely close. In this sense the game is a runaway success. However, those that are looking for a meaty storyline that they can really sink their teeth into need not apply, because they will be drastically disappointed.
-
Aug 8, 2011The controls fall into the same annoying trap as other touch-control FPS games in that you're always resetting your thumb to look around.
-
Jul 19, 2011A technically ambitious but unintentionally hilarious shooter that's far too flawed to recommend.
-
CD-ActionAug 2, 2011They say size isn't important but clearly 9mm is not enough. A major failure by Gameloft – the game is mediocre at best and laughable at worst. [August 2011, p.74]
