For an expansion pack, there is plenty to do and see and it adds a completely new level of variety to your Sims' already busy life.
-
Rarely does an expansion (or companion, in the case of the PS2 and GameCube) see content integrated so well into an existing game. After a few minutes playing Pets, you'll feel as if the animals have always been a part of your gaming life.
-
This isn't the best buy for those who have played the series to death. But if you haven't, then get on board with this animal update.
-
Maxis hasn't changed the game drastically and shouldn't have to for an expansion pack that is adding a new (and cute!) perspective to an already solid game.
-
Nintendo GamerThe addition of pets has made Sims 2 marginally cuter, but the novelty quickly wears off as you still spend the majority of your time making sure the toilet is regularly cleaned. [Nov 2006, p.65]
-
Nintendo PowerThe question is, would you rather simulate real life or just live it? [Jan. 2007, p.110]
-
If you want to play The Sims, go out and buy a PC and the game too. It may be a lot more expensive this way but for the true Sims experience I would recommend it.

AlexC.Nov 16, 2006This game rocks! Although I wish the dogs did not dig holes and that you can still get a job when your mad.
