Muy poco intuitivo y tedioso. Los niveles son excelentes, pero dado lo difícil que es encontrarlos, pierde muchos puntos, podría haber sido el mejor juego de sonic, pero no es intuitivo.

i love this game. The cutscenes are so bad it's good, the levels are really fun to play, and the music is such a banger. There are flaws though ; for one, the Big the cat levels are rigged AF not to mention slow, the Amy Rose stages are also really annoying, sometimes the camera just doesn't want to cooperate, and the bosses are just too easy. Other than that, I cherish this game in my heart.

This game has problems, of course it does, but it is very fun, the story is ok i guess but the game play is very nice, sonic plays extremely great and even though you can exploit a mechanic like spam-dash it is still pretty neat and you don't feel like it is unfair in any moment, tails is broken, and even though he is broken he is as fun as sonic, amy has some nice mechanics with herThis game has problems, of course it does, but it is very fun, the story is ok i guess but the game play is very nice, sonic plays extremely great and even though you can exploit a mechanic like spam-dash it is still pretty neat and you don't feel like it is unfair in any moment, tails is broken, and even though he is broken he is as fun as sonic, amy has some nice mechanics with her hammer making her an actual different experience than sonic, gamma is my favourite and knuckles is actually good, big sucks ass.
Does it have any problems? yes it does, the camera is sometimes very bad, big the cat exists and other stuff, but even with these problems it is a very enjoyable experience.

To be honest, the game is really funny. The main problem with the game is the physics, which are a little bad.

Despite this version being quite inferior to the original (awesome) Dreamcast version, I can still find a lot of enjoyment in the DX port of this fantastic game! The awesome levels are still a blast to run through (even the **** glitch in the emerald coast loop can be entertaining, most likely when you're playing with a friend who's never played the game before ;) hehe), and even though IDespite this version being quite inferior to the original (awesome) Dreamcast version, I can still find a lot of enjoyment in the DX port of this fantastic game! Anyways, still a cool game. Expand

The original Sonic Adventure was released in late 1999, and despite receiving positive reception from the few critics who bothered to buy a Sega Dreamcast, this game wouldn't maintain that status for long. The original Sonic Adventure was a very unpolished game featuring collision issues, camera malfunctions, and very flimsy programming during the automated sequences. However, SonicThe original Sonic Adventure was released in late 1999, and despite receiving positive reception from the few critics who bothered to buy a Sega Dreamcast, this game wouldn't maintain that status for long. The original Sonic Adventure was a very unpolished game featuring collision issues, camera malfunctions, and very flimsy programming during the automated sequences. However, Sonic Adventure was the very first sixth gen platformer and it released at a time when standards were very much colored by the flaws of the 5th generation of games. Most audiences simply tolerated Sonic Adventure's issues as they weren't issues that didn't already plague most games of the era. Instead, Sonic Adventure was judged by what unique content it offered compared to other 3D platformers.

Sonic Adventure has 6 playable characters following different gameplay formats. Sonic's gameplay alone was enough to make up for a lot of the game's technical issues at the time as it offered unique high speed linear platforming backed with a momentum engine. The only other 3D platformer I can think of from the era that could compare to this format is Crash Bandicoot. It is obvious that Sonic's gameplay saw the most praise because the character still stood out from the competition even though less people were noticing. Tails also followed that format. Knuckles's gameplay was comparable to most 3D platformers of the time as it was a collectathon. Knuckles's gameplay was criticized for contrasting too much with Sonic's and Tails's gameplay and not offering anything different from games like Mario 64, Spyro the Dragon and Banjo Kazooie. Luckily, the length of his campaign covers a small portion of the full package, it functioned well and it offered a surface level of entertainment. At best, Knuckles is average and at worst he is mediocre. Amy was one of the most criticized characters in the game for her slow gameplay. Big the Cat is the most infamous bringing to the table confusing fishing gameplay. His campaign was also criticized for being completely disconnected from the larger narrative the game told. E-102 Gamma is one of the more fondly remembered parts of the game due to the story he took part in. Though lock on shooting wasn't an unknown genre, he saw less scrutiny than Knuckles or Big. Despite some spotted criticism, Sonic Adventure was viewed as a successful 3D transition for the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

When Sonic Adventure DX released, it saw a very different response. Now the game would be judged by a larger audience defined by the standards of the sixth generation; standards that were much higher than the fifth. Sonic Adventure also didn't have enough time to make a name for itself while on the Dreamcast leading to a legacy that could very easily be disregarded and it was. Sonic Adventure DX is a complete port of the Dreamcast original but with uglier visuals, uglier models, poorer controls, and twelve unlockable bad games from the Game Gear. The only thing this game adds of any value is the free cam option allowing the player to control the camera himself. Despite the downgrades, Sonic Adventure DX isn't worse by a large margin. This version is at least average.

I really enjoyed the better looking graphics while playing on the GC. Brings me back to when I played it on the Dreamcast .

If it was the original dreamcast version, it would be 9/10. But it is the DX version which is literally the same game with worse graphics and animations. If you want to play this, just get the dreamcast version.

Terrible port. Camera moves randomly. Playing as characters other than sonic is very boring. Controls are unresponsive

The only 3d sonic game, that does a good job as a 3d game and sonic game at the same time.
unfortunately, DX port is indeed awful

Time has not been kind to this game, but it is still a memorable and fun-packed game. If you can overlook the bad presentation and some poor decisions over gameplay style. An experiment of a game with mixed results.

This game delivers anything a sonic fan can want, yes it’s sure buggy, but the game is way too iconic to call mediocre, the story is great, the voice acting too, this whole game is worth trying out, even if you’re new or a fan of the classics. Just try it out, one of my personal favorites

Oh Dear, I'm not Hating on Sonic Adventure, this is a review of the port available on Steam. This port of the 2004 PC version is awful, it's got glitches that weren't in the Dreamcast original, and the lighting and overall graphics have been given a really obvious down grade. The Game underneath is great, but the port doesn't do it justice.

Despite a couple bugs and its age, still stands to this day and still replay it, specially Sonic's and Beta's campaign that I think are the highlight of this game

One of the best sonic games in history… the ability to finish great stories from different characters that align was just so different and ahead of its time. This game deserves more praise than it receives. Being super sonic towards the end just really makes you wanna do more with him. I wish in the future you can just fly around as super sonic freely whenever you want.

The best Sonic 3D in history. On the DREAMCAST console. Metracritic doesn't have SONIC ADVENTURE to comment on the DREAMCAST console.

  1. Thrilling and refreshingly buoyant, Sonic Adventure DX-Director's Cut actually justifies '90s nostalgia.

The game alone is worth the price of admission, but this version features an all-new Mission mode that, while fluff, is nonetheless fun, plus 12 entirely cool Sonic games taken wars and all from the Sega Game Gear. [June 2003, p.72]
  3. It's a straight port, with a few minor alterations, and in this day and age it just can't stand up to the competition.
