    Honestly, no. This game is just a bit of a mess, in all honesty. A sonic game should be about super fast sonic gameplay. Instead, the game is punctuated by boring levels that involve trying to find hidden secrets, that more closely resembles Tomb Raider than Sonic. Likewise, silly shoot ‘em levels that mainly involve just spamming the fire button. If you want to play Tomb Raider, then playHonestly, no. This game is just a bit of a mess, in all honesty.     Disconnected from the Dreamcast original, this is still as average as the original. Only minimal content was added to the Chao Garden and 2 Player mode; two optional sections of the game I have no interest in. It also looks and runs marginally worse. Overall, a mediocre port of an already average game.

    This is my favorite Sonic and it is one of the best GCN games, I seriously don't understand why the bad reviews, it's extremely underrated. Story is deep with great characters, nice controls, no camera issues, amazing soundtrack and graphics and interesting puzzles in some missions. Chao Garden mode is incredible funny, there's nothing like starting with a new born chao and upgrading it,This is my favorite Sonic and it is one of the best GCN games, I seriously don't understand why the bad reviews, it's extremely underrated. Like its predecessor, Adventure 2 has not stood the test of time, but the game is undeniably iconic, and its status is earned through the excellence of the early-game levels that feature either Sonic or Shadow.     I mean, it's Sonic adventure 2, with a little more content, what more could anyone ask for. It's still the same amazing game as it's original release on the dream cast with slightly more polish.

    - Speed stages
    - Tons of re-playability - Soundtrack - Controls are fluid for most character types - Chao garden!!! Cons: - A lot of the treasure hunting stages are frustrating (mostly based on the **** radar system) - Sound mixing is horrible - Camera works against you - Mech levels are clunky and are either boring or frustrating - Not nearly enough speed stages -    Pros:
    - Speed stages

    - Soundtrack

    An improvement and a backstep from its predecessor in many ways. It removed many of the bad gameplay styles, but somehow made the ones which remained (speed, mech and hunting) worse. A classic story nonetheless.

    Favorite gamecube game! Great 2 player game. The story mode is good too and not super difficult to beat for kids. Overall super fun to play. Chao garden was the highlight for me as a kid.

Die Story ist fantastisch, von Anfang bis Ende. Es gibt Tiefe, traurige Momente,Ein wahrliches Meisterwerk. Das Spiel hat endlosen Content und kann dabei auch sehr schwer werden. Über den Chao Garten muss ich erst gar nicht reden, dieser ist absolut perfekt und MUSS zurückkomen in neueren Sonic Spielen. Klar ist es in manchen Punkten leicht gealtert, aber das Spiel ist auch von 2001. Wieso hat ein Mario 64 o.Ä. immer einen freepass, weil "das kommt ja aus XY", aber bei Sonic lautet es immer "das Spiel ist schrecklich gealtert". Denk darüber nach. Am Besten während ihr Sonic Adventure 2 auf 100% durchspielt. Viel Spaß... und Glück.… Expand

    Sonic does not get better with this. The amount of content in this game is incredible, yet it all works so well without being filler. Every stage in the game feels different even if they share similar aspects, and the Chao Garden and emblems give the game an absolutely insane amount of replay value.

    If I had to criticise the game somehow, it would probably be that the PAL version has a glitch where sometimes two button presses are registered instead of one, which is definitely noticeable on the Egg Golem fight with Sonic.

    Overall though, the gameplay, music, story and replay value are all brilliant. Though the lip syncing may date the game a bit, it has otherwise aged great, especially for a game that is now 20 years old.    … Expand

    The Sonic and Shadow sections are the most exciting. I spent many hours in the Chao garden. The various music tracks are phenomenal and catchy. My First gamecube game.
    The game shows it's age with some more boring Tails and Dr Eggman sections.

    Decades worth of content with the chaos alone. That first level is a few years worth of gameplay alone speaking as someone who had the Dreamcast demo disk for sonic adventure 2.

    The game was developed between 99-2000 and for a game developed this early it plays really well. Those who criticize the controls and camera angles are typically comparing and contrasting to games that were developed up to 2-3 years later which is the equivalent of comparing 1992 dollars to 2020 dollars.     У игры есть проблемы связанные со старостью и не отточенностью геймплея.Последние уровня за Наклса проходимые за 10 минут, писк лазера Теилза(к которому просто привыкаешь). Но об этом, всем, забываешь и наслаждаешься приятным геймплеем за соника, до сих пор одними из лучших песен из игр и неплохим сюжетом.У игры есть проблемы связанные со старостью и не отточенностью геймплея.Последние уровня за Наклса проходимые за 10 минут, писк лазера Теилза(к которому просто привыкаешь).     This is one of the best Sonic games not to say, the best, Gameplay is the most characteristic of this game, the animations, physics, movements ... all of that. What's more, it is the Sonic game with the best gameplay. this port is wonderful ... much more spacious and entertaining

    Sonic Adventure 2, although not as good as the first, it's still an amazing game! The story is phenomenal and the 3 styles of gameplay are all fantastic with Sonic and Shadows being the best. Tails and Eggman is like Gamma's stages but more unique and still fun. Knuckles and Rouges stages although sometimes annoying, I can still get a good kick out of it. 10/10 Great game!

    one of the best Sonic 3D games, has aged very well, has good gameplay, good graphics for the time, an incredible soundtrack, new things that were well accepted at least by me, like Chao World for example.
    The best story of Sonic 3D games and an epic ending, but the only thing I can highlight from the game's weak point is its crazy camera.

    The game is fun, but it is not without some minor annoyances. The music can get fairly grating after a while, especially the BGM in the Knuckles stages. Bleh... Anyway, I was not a fan of the Tails/Eggman mech missions, they just weren't enjoyable to me. The treasure hunting levels were fun (even if I had to mute the sound on the Knuckles levels!) and gave the game some variety to runningThe game is fun, but it is not without some minor annoyances.     The game has such a good variety! theres two stories, the hero and the dark! its has more content! and so much people such as myself loved playing the game!

    The graphics are flawless. Super-smooth, fast, seamless environments stretch on as far as the eye can see. While the GameCube should easily be able to do this, it's the frenetic pace that makes it most impressive.
