ProfessorFrinkDec 4, 2003A decent game. I guess in terms of originality, its not much, but the Geo-mod thing really adds to the fun in multiplayer. The graphics could have been improved a little more than their predessesor, though.

BillyL.May 26, 2003Great game, gets a bit boring after you've completed story mode for the first time. Great multiplayer.

DaveB.Nov 18, 2003Red Faction II is a bad game disguised as a good if you know what i'm saying. It sucks. Good concept, James Bond style, but the levels and gameplay are a thin as a duke-nukem game.

With impressive visuals, landmark play mechanics, and multiplayer mayhem, this title is easily recommended for the violence-tolerant.

Game InformerIt's definitely one of the best console first-person shooters on any system. [Apr 2003, p.89]

The geo-mod engine is actually used with the core gameplay with this game, to make it feel like it truly belongs in there. Nothing is more satisfying than taking out a bridge with a grenade and taking a few men with it, instead of trying to get each man one at a time.
