    This is the best game I have ever played, other than pikmin 2. And heads up because pikmin 3 is coming out for the nintendo wii.

    A remarkable experience that any GCN owner should have already had. Pros: Adorable, addictive, and original gameplay; rich in color; overall, it's fairly challenging and packed with witty puzzles and obstacles. Cons: The length is peculiar; annoying camera; repetitive sequences.

    Fresh idea, entertaining game, game design could have been better since I got stuck with not finding the yellow pikmin and having to restart the game.

    8 is a proper score I think.

    This game is so cool! It's so easy to get hooked on. The blue guys are the coolest cause they can swim. The yellow guys stink cause all they can do is fly higher and pick up bombs. The red pikmin are the best fighters. I think Miyamoto has outdone himself this time. Well maybe not.

    Ups: Beautiful Graphics, great sound, originality, tons of creatures, great environments, smooth controls and simple gameplay Downs: Too short not to have something extra. There should at least have been some sort of multiplayer.

    Pikmin 1 is the most **** unfair, game you'll play and that's why it's amazing. This game doesn't hold your hand it doesn't care about your feeling it will beat you for not learning its mechanics. Pikmin 1 and 2 force you to think and understand everything.     Pikmin 1 and 2 force you to think and understand everything. This game is intimidating to first-time players but you'll slowly learn about bomb rock usage, Pikmin importance, how fast enemies can kill your Pikmin, Pikmin Path AI, how to avoid tripping, etc.

    Pikmin 1 has a lot of similarities to old arcade games in all honestly because the game its self isn't that long and beating it isn't the point. The point of Pikmin master the game beat it in, as few in-game days as possible.

    Pikmin is a series that more people need to try and while its difficulty can be overwhelming at points

    Originality....Not a new concept but unfortunately a rarity in the video game industry, and thats exactly what this game has in spades. Brilliant creatures, brilliant levels, Pikmin is a breath of fresh air in a stagnant closet of uninspired sequels. Arigato Nintendo and Miyamoto-san!

    Great game large bosses and excellent play mechanics, Miyamoto hits another homerun. (Too many people think its a pokemon copy before they play it.)

    Pikmin has the best charachter and enemy design that I've ever seen. It was the main reason I got a Gamecube. I think it should have more than one sequel; it might be as big as Mario or Zelda!

    Didn't give this game a 10 because the graphics slow down when there's lots of characters on the screen at once. Other than that, it was almost flawless. Highly additive and original.

    Great game, might take a while to learn how to play, but just incredibly fun. Graphics are nothing special but they fit the game, and sound is pretty nice.

    It is a great game compared to other videogames I get. Pikmin is my favorite game because you have to recover 30 parts in 30 days. (Besides, I like timed games) So far, I never failed once yet.

    The cons of this was the extremely short days and the allowance of days to finish your mission. The other con is that the pikmin get eatan too qickly. Then it takes too long to knock down walls and blow up things. Now the pros are this was a good origional story. The pikmin creatures are absolutly cute. The graphics flow smoothly and has very unique game play.

    Incredibly fun and addictive this game is worth playing even now if you own a Nintendo Wii, I hope the next gen version of this game lives up to the expectations.

    Pikmin was a game that differ from those that are on the marketplace.
    The game has brilliant music that is calm and peaceful which is a great plus when making a plan
    the only problem with the game is the time limit it made me feel like i needed to hurry up at all times!

    Awesome game, but the difficulty is way too hard at times. Extremely original and addictive. I really don't like how there's a time limit to finish the game and a lack of boss battles. Besides those flaws, the graphics are still good by today's standards, and the player will stay intrigued for days trying to get all of olimar's ship parts back and growing your pikmin population.     One of the most magical experiences for the Gamecube, Pikmin offers gamers a wondrous world and great gameplay. Managing your Pikmin and time wisely, collecting your ship parts, and avoiding danger all at the same time offer a challenge that some may be turned off by. This game stands up to the title of one of Nintendo's great IP's.

    One of the most creative games to appear in nintendo, hugely entertaining, challenging and beautiful.
    It is very funny to play. Sequels have been quite good but this first episode deserves the highest rate.

    A true masterpiece, this game will challenge you, hard. Play it, you won't regret a single second. I would of given this game a 10 if it had not been for the tight stiffness of the controls, other than that, beautiful game, thanks Nintendo!

    This game is just amazing. Why I give it a 8? Because, you are on a time limit. Even though its on a time limit, its still an amazing game! I suggest to get it, as long with Pikmin 2, and as long with Pikmin 3, if you have a Wii U.

    Best game in the Pikmin series. Very addicting with very high replay value. Great atmosphere and sense of isolation. The maps are extremely well designed. I know some people think the game is too short, but I disagree. It’s the perfect length for this type of game.

    At first, this game got me confused. I look at it again to realize a tiny adventure is actually great to view but I'd probably get lost and get myself in a sticky situation if I played this in any platform.

    This game is one of the better titles for the Nintendo Gamecube. I like its originality especially. While there are some annoying glitches they don't make the game unplayable in the slightest. My only complaint is that it's very short.

The music is peaceful, and the imminent 30 day countdown always gives a sense of urgency to gather up all the parts of your ship ASAP. The 3 Pikmin types provide you with allot of environmental puzzles (such 1 type being able to swim, while theGreat game, but a bit short.     Pikmin is a series I adored from the start and for amazing and great reasons. The games never get old and are original and have great gameplay. But the second one IS better.

    an absolutely fantastic game, for a gamecube launch title it looks and sounds absolutely stunning with nice vibrant colours, incredible models and sound design. the gameplay is unique and works well with very few problems like movement and aiming (which is fixed in the 2009 re-release on the wii), the games difficulty can be brutal at times to players new to the game but upon eachan absolutely fantastic game, for a gamecube launch title it looks and sounds absolutely stunning with nice vibrant colours, incredible models and sound design. the gameplay is unique and works well with very few problems like movement and aiming (which is fixed in the 2009 re-release on the wii), the games difficulty can be brutal at times to players new to the game but upon each re-visitation you come to understand and improve upon the game. while this game does have it's problems they are few and far between - the major one is as stated before the inability to move and aim at the same time in opposite directions - while this can be annoying it only truly affected my experience when it came to the final boss fight, another issue i find is the pikmin themselves getting stuck on terrain and me losing them or falling through bridges causing them to drown because their AI path-finding buggers up but as stated before this dint effect my experience. overall a fantastic game worth a purchase (get it on the wii if you can).… Expand

    피크민이라는 게임은 내가 느끼기에는 재미있는 게임이라고 생각한다. 귀여운 그래픽을 가지고 있지만 피크민들이 죽을 때 특유의 매력이 나오고 스릴감이 느껴지는 게임이다. 참신한 설정들과 주변에선 쉽게 볼 수 없는 장르라 미야모토 시게루의 작품이라는 생각이 들고, 스토리는 꼭 봐야하는 것은 아니지만 볼 때마다 소소한 재미를 준다.

    I said looking at my game to play it.
    I want to be honest Pikmin is an awesome game.The big part of it is the challenge.and of course, the sweet feeling of choosing which Pikmin come with you.like opening a new phone up.So people saying this game is boring are the wrongest.If you know how to play, you will like this game!

    In addition to the main game mode, it is a challenge mode where you can see how much you can collect and how many enemies you can defeat in one day.

    The soundtrack is in my opinion the best part of the game, my god the soundtrack is amazing!

    A great game for sure! I love the strategy and having to handle multiple tasks at once. But it can be tedious at times choosing what colored Pikmin to use. Other simple quality of life improvements are in the future editions. But still a solid game as long as you are willing to sit down for a few hours.

    PIKMIN is easily my all time favourite game.

    However I acknowledge that Pikmin is not perfect and suffers from being hard to describe from a genre perspective.

    I would Highly Recommend PIKMIN to anyone.

    You grow plants and make them fight, honestly the original Plants Vs. Zombies. Jk, this game is a masterpiece, and everyone should play it, if it gets ported to switch buy it, its graphics look very good on the Gamecube.

    I can see myself coming back to this in the future to improve my score, since the game is quite short and easy to get back into replaying. This game is an excellent and enjoyable experience and I believe it's a contender for Miyamoto's magnum opus.     Mise à part ses graphismes et ses aspect technique très lent, le jeu est fun a jouer, étant un fan de la license pikmin j'ai accroché dès les premiers instants, la limite des 30 jours est très intéressante, qui te pousse à aller le plus vite possible, contrairement à l'opus suivant (ça veut pas dire que je préfére le 1).

    Il ne sert qu'à débloquer des accès, ou à aller dans l'eau, alors que le rouge est fort au combat et résiste au feu et les jaunes peuvent prendre des bombes et être lancés plus haut, en fait y'a toujours eu le rouge et le jaune avec plusieurs capacités et le bleu sur le côté qui sert à débloquer le reste de la map avec sa seul compétence de savoir nagé.
    Niveau gameplay le jeu s'en sort très bien, mais un gros défaut subsiste qui entache le gameplay c'est la lenteur des ordres donnés aux pikmins.
    Niveau histoire... Le jeu n'y prend pas tro attention mais on peux quand même noté l'aspect découverte avec les notes écrites par olimar. Bref excelent jeu en mon sens, je mettrai un 9,5/10 si cela serait possible mais tant qu'un jeu n'est pas parfait le 10 n'est pas permis.    … Expand

    Pikmin is an extremely fun game, but relatively short and for a brand new series at the time and now this game was a great example of an exciting new series coming and showcases the GameCubes capability's whilst having great art design and graphics for GameCube standards. Great debut.

    You feel like the most clever person on the planet when you're able to bring in three parts a day, slaughter a few frogs, and birth seventy Pikmin without breaking a sweat...what is there is enormously fun.

    I was pleased to find that my six-year-old daughter had as much fun as I did playing the game. Although she became a bit frustrated at points (as I did) she still was able to manage to manipulate the pikmin the way she intended.

    Simply an addictive and adorable game that does a wonderful job evoking the same sense of wonder many of us first experienced on our childhood trips to Oz, Narnia, or Middle Earth.
