It's cool to see Medabots in gen 6 console graphics but the controls can be difficult and some of the levels are awful. On the other hand some of the levels are a lot of fun.

The game falls short in entertainment and from the perspective of the story when compared to the GBA game. An open world similar to the anime would have put this game over the top. However, if you know how to

However, if you know how to play this game and meda battle properly you will still enjoy this game despite it's limitations and downsides.

It's far from the worst Gamecube games I played but is mildly mediocre. If you were a fan of the anime and are willing to spend time on this for the sake of nostalgia you will get something positive out of it.

The story sequences are slow-paced and the camera doesn't always show the best view of the battle, but the action between bots can get pretty intense. [Feb 2004, p.150]
  2. The premise may be rather cute, but the game is certainly not. Medabots Infinity exhibits aggravating gameplay and presents an imprecise camera, and the results are anything but fun.

Unfortunately the thing that matters the most, the gameplay, is seriously unbalanced resulting in a game that is all too easy at times and unnecessarily frustrating at others.
