May 20, 2014This game is good, but lacks a story. I HATE playing in The Solo Mode. Solo Mode - BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RyanM.Dec 19, 2004This game is mediocre. there's no denying it. the game has some good points, but we've seen it before. this game holds nothing new and revolutionary. just a decent game that is to be enjoyed with a couple friends for a couple hours.

Nov 16, 2011I have to admit this is a really good game when it comes to a family game night, but anything else is just a little boring. The star bank, the day and night system is absolutely creative if you think about it, but the boards could have been a bit bigger.

Mario Party 6 is definitely still a good time, Though Mario Party is starting to get slightly tedious. -

Mar 8, 2021a good game for a much older time
pros
excellent extras mode

game did not age too well -
Nov 22, 2022This game, although overrated, is still a great multiplayer experience and after the mediocre Mario Party 5, they took out the garbage (60% of the game), and replaced it with a fun day and night mechanic that never feels gimmicky.

GMR MagazineJust as polished as the rest of the series, striking just the right balance between familiar and fresh material. [Feb 2005, p.99]
-
games(TM)Feeling somewhat bland against some of its predecessors, Mario Party 6's games come off as lacking in skill, not to mention creativity; the coating may look different, but the core concepts are incredibly repetitive. [Feb 2005, p.106]

Offers too much tedium and not nearly enough fun, mic or no mic.
