    EA Sports did what they could, but it's all about the future now. Rest assured, Madden is probably a good way to finally retire your GameCube and Xbox.

    The weapon system, which is obviously carried over from the newer consoles, doesn't deliver the kind of experience that you'd hope it would, and the adjustments to the older gameplay doesn't do enough to radically improve the title. The lack of importing NCAA legends and online play hurts a bit also.

    The older console versions of Madden 08 offer a few control upgrades and a couple of bizarre new modes, but otherwise, this might as well be last year's game.

    The game still holds up well, with a solid (if not entirely amazing) presentation and fun gameplay. The new defensive play touches are nice, particularly when it comes to directing a lead blocker into the thick of traffic.

    Anyone who said this game is bad is incorrect it is Scott's favourite game on Scott's favourite console it has to be good
