  1. Yeah, the game is really long, but is there any variety or challenge? Not really. And, if you're not sick of playing by the end of just a couple of these annoyingly long levels, I admire your patience.
  2. As a showcase of the GameCube's technical abilities, Gauntlet: Dark Legacy doesn't measure up to other titles in the system's library. More importantly, as a game, it smacks of mediocrity.
  3. Pretty soon you realize that the reason you're so impatient to get out of the levels is because you're just not having fun. And that's when you're done playing for good.

    This game is great. The "pros" are wrong in their rating. One of the few games I still play through from this console era.
