If only the whole game was able to capture the fun inherent in the fight sequences, it would be a true masterpiece.
-
Enter the Matrix isn't a perfect slice of interactive entertainment, but it does provide at least a dozen hours of action-packed fun and serves as a clever vehicle to expand on the events in "The Matrix Reloaded."
-
The most hardcore Matrix fan will probably eat this game up, but for action buffs, a rental will probably be the furthest trip down the rabbit hole those gamers will go.
-
It has a good story, kick ass martial arts fights, good graphics, and the cinematics in between levels are really well done.
-
The game could be better if the control were tighter and some of those driving missions were more fun, but for what it is Enter The Matrix is enjoyable for all the right reasons.
-
TotalGames.netMaybe if it actually looked better, if more of the levels weren't so sparse or uninspiring then we'd be able to forgive the shallow gameplay and the fact that combat is too straightforward.
-
While Enter the Matrix ties in really well with the movie franchise, it isnt much of a game.
-
The game's story isn't strong enough to stand on its own, and the gameplay simply doesn't save it, making the game worth a look for hard-core fans of The Matrix films, but a buggy disappointment for just about anyone else.
-
Somewhere along the way, someone forgot to implement the core of any action game: comfortable controls.
-
This is the most unfinished retail game I've ever played.
-
Has several shining moments, but overall it is plagued by poor level design and artificial challenges. The mediocre game is balanced out by the superb story, however. The acting is incredible.
-
Neither a horrible nor excellent game, but it is most certainly disappointing in light of the time and money spent on its development. In regards to its claim to be an indispensable companion piece to "The Matrix: Reloaded," it's just as lackluster.
