Theres a lot of game to explore in Driven if youre dedicated; just be prepared for a steep learning curve.
-
Not quite an ambitious failure, and not a qualified success either, the game pays the price for falling between the stools of arcade adventurousness and simulation seriousness.
-
A racing game that is easy to control but extremely difficult.
-
When it comes down to it all, the game plays true to the film. Boring, clichéd, sometimes grimace inducing and deeply, deeply average.
-
The game is just too short with so-so graphics and questionable handling.
-
Nintendo PowerDriving is surprisingly manageable for an open-wheel racer, and that could get your engine running if you're a car buff or arcade racing fan. [May 2002, p.132]
-
Driven is a solid, if not somewhat boring, racing game that fails to innovate or add any sense of entertainment not already found in previous racing games.
-
Driven's acceleration feels sluggish as it tries to drag the combined weight of unresponsive AI, strange physics, overly unforgiving challenges and pedestrian multiplayer modes.
