Unlike Batman, however, Tarzan has awesome control, good camera angles, and excellent gameplay.
-
Nintendo PowerIts fun to play through, but Id like to see a more complex trick system. [Jan 2002, p.130]
-
A good game for kids. Since that's the target for this title, then it gets higher marks than it would otherwise.
-
Visually, it does Disney's Tarzan justice. Unfortunately, Ubi Soft's final product is simply too short and shallow to justify a purchase for most gamers.
-
It leaves competent gamers feeling underwhelmed. It is worth a look for the younger crowd, though.
-
Rather short. It only takes a couple of hours to finish the entire quest and a few more after that to collect all the film reels.
-
As a guilty pleasure, Tarzan Untamed is actually addictive and fun with some fantastic graphics and incredible sound effects, but the underlying game is rather weak.
-
It is in essence, a very generic experience, which is shallow and unrewarding.
-
This game took me less than two hours, as a pose to "Resident Evils" 18 hours, first time round.
-
Although Tarzan looks like a free-roaming 3D platformer in pictures, you actually navigate extremely narrow paths. Sometimes only one exact line will allow you to complete the level.
-
Mildly entertaining, though often frustrating.
