For older teens and adult gamers, it may get a bit dull or annoying in certain spots. However, if you're under 13, or looking for a way to have fun with your kids while playing a video game, you won't be disappointed.
-
The innovation that the Tony Hawk series has been so desperately searching for. Its pure skating fun, but the inclusion of the Disney characters takes it that extra mile.
-
The care and attention to detail evident in this game is a testimony to the designers' integrity, which is too often missing in children's games.
-
Being a Tony Hawk clone doesnt mean that this isn't a quality title with plenty of fresh features, well worth of giving it a try.
-
The visuals are smooth and colorful, just like the films, and the gameplay is set up to bring little skating fans joy.
-
Game InformerThis is actually one of the better games of this ilk I've played in quite some time. [Oct 2003, p.131]
-
This is perhaps the first and only Disney sports title to impress me in the least. As an avid fan of Tony Hawk, I found the game to be incredibly fun and very easy to get into and enjoy.
-
An excellent merging of two popular properties, this is one "kiddie" game that you shouldn't overlook just because it has the Disney name stamped on the side.
-
Perfect for kids, which accomplishes the goal of Extreme Skate Adventure.
-
One of the best examples of a game that appeals and caters to a younger age bracket while still maintaining a level of gameplay quality and intellectual decency lacking in so many other "kids games."
-
Nintendo PowerAn extreme sports free-for-all that features movie-themed playable characters in nine environments. [Nov 2003, p.151]
-
What this all boils down to is a solid and intuitively controlled skating game that is optimized for younger players but also quite fun for fans of the Tony Hawk series.
-
Personally, I don't have any place for a game like this on my shelf when I already have the whole Tony Hawk dynasty. Would I recommend it to my friends that have kids? Surely.
