  1. If you're one of the lucky ones who haven't had the pleasure then please, go out and buy it; you'll find it an absolute joy. Unfortunately, it's a joy most of us have already experienced and moved on from.
  2. Good for quick laugh, but that's about it. No multiplayer, and limited gameplay means there's not much life in this game.
  3. As good a game as it ever was. If you've never played it before, then now is an ideal time to take the plunge.
  4. The game is ideal for players who have never sat behind Crazy Taxi’s wheel. Veteran drivers, however, would do well to skip this fare.

With only two major cities to explore and nine mini-games it still feels like an arcade game...[but] an awesome game if you didn't play it on previous systems.
  6. An overall disappointment. As the direct port of a three-year-old game, certain steps should have been taken to bring it up to par.

Lots of thrills and hills. It just doesn’t have the character and control that the Simpsons game has. [Jan 2002, p.130]

Perhaps due to its arcade roots, Crazy Taxi has always had a general lack of depth. It’s no different here on the GameCube.
  9. The gameplay is great in short bursts (which is why it worked so well in the arcade) but if you play for more than a few hours it gets extremely repetitive.
  10. A mediocre port of what can already be considered an old but classic Dreamcast game.

Crazy Taxi is a game that definitely fits this criteria, and the GC version has it's own physics and controls that make it feel unique. I also like how this is a game that anyone can just pick up and play. It's so simple and so enjoyable in its execution, the only people I find myself not recommending this game to are people who don't like arcade style driving games or 90s punk rock. Full Review »

The Gamecube version is solid and the gameplay, visuals and music all remain the same after all these years. I picked it up for a low price and I do enjoy it. Good, arcade fun. The only issue I have found with the game is that sometimes before or after you pick up a fare, the car may not accelerate. This has caused me to lose lots of time. It's a little clunky and takes some finessing, but overall, it's Crazy Taxi, a classic arcade gem that must be in your collection. Full Review »
