Nintendo PowerThe peppy game exudes plenty of personality, and young fans will love the smart game play. [Sept 2002, p.163]
-
Granted, some of the three-dimensional effects are very nice, but at times, the game looks like a title in the Lego series, and not the carefree, cartoonish game that has become so enjoyable.
-
Fun for a goof for adults, and a kid will eat this up.
-
Although Backyard Football may work for a seven-year-old, few others would get much enjoyment from it. Lacking serious refinement in most areas, the cute style of gameplay wears off quickly and leaves few reasons to come back.
-
The neat-o character design doesn't make up for the blah textures and overly simple (to the point of boring) gameplay.

BillM.Mar 19, 2003Absolutely beautiful game!! They say that it has a "kiddy" appeal, but I'm 42 years old and I love it. It's all I play all day long!

LoganL.Jan 11, 2003I think that this game should have more players like Daunte Culpepper, Randy Moss Torry Holt, Deuce Macallester, Preist Holmes, and Cris Carter.
