Everything looks blurry, and it's tough to move around and fightsome combos require you to punch a dozen buttons. Plus, the panel-by-panel narrative looks more cheap than it does charming. Aquaman is all washed up!
-
Theres just no way to make Aquaman more exciting than beached jellyfish. Its time to let the scaly superhero sleep with the fishes already.
-
Nintendo PowerThe battles are well-executed, if a little slow, but the overall experience is one-dimensional. [Oct 2003, p.140]
-
Much like Aquaman himself: pathetic...unoriginal, uninspired, and sleep-inducing.
-
netjakI will say one thing about TDK and Aquaman: The comic book character is unbearably pitiful and TDK managed to translate that perfectly into a just-as-pitiful game.
-
Even the most hard-core Aquaman devotees will likely find little use for this short, shallow, problematic ramshackle game.
-
Game InformerCall me crazy, but punching an enemy while doing the doggy paddle doesn't exactly generate a whole lot of excitement. [Oct 2003, p.131]
-
In case it isn't abundantly obvious, this game is bad. It's horrible. It's awful... might just be the worst game on the Gamecube.
-
Unfortunately, no matter how much you change his appearance or try to play up his role as King of Atlantis and his responsibility for patrolling the majority of the planet, Aquaman still sucks.
