ThomasMar 22, 2007TMNT for the GBA brings us a fresh new perspective on the old school TMNT game for the arcade, NES, and even SNES. But, it take them a step even further. With a fresh new look and enhanced gameplay, TMNT for the GBA delivers more than I imagined. And again, it is better than it's console counterpart.

In a surprise twist, the Game Boy Advance TMNT is vastly superior to its mediocre console counterpart. Instead of shoehorning the same adventure onto the limited GBA, Ubisoft created an entirely new game, one based on the classic, side scrolling Turtles games from the NES and SNES days.

It's an awesome throwback to old-school game design, but with tons of flair and technique to jazz up the experience into a contemporary piece. It's easily one of the best brawling games I've played in years.

TMNT on the GBA doesn't slow the tempo with silly puzzles or frustrating platform-jumping sections. Instead, it's a pure, fast-paced brawler that lets you go wild beating on bad guys and bosses with a healthy variety of exaggerated martial arts moves. And, thanks to the eye-popping graphics and catchy audio, the game is as much fun to see and hear as it is to play.
