Tekken Advance is a surprisingly thorough version of the console games, something you don't see as often as you should. Pros: Excellent graphics, control, and audio; a limited, but handy variety of fighters and arenas. Cons: Very limited, from modes to unlockable content.

Its near perfect. Its got impressive graphics, sound, and gameplay. My only complaint was the small amont of playable characters. Its tons of fun.

Impressive graphics and sound! Fantastic gameplay, and ten classic fighters. (Nina, Jin, Law, Paul, King, Hwoarang, Yoshimitsu, Jack, Xiaoyu, and Heihachi as a secret character). A bit short on characters and arenas, but thats just a minor flaw. If you find it, buy it.

At last, Tekken finally makes it to a handheld device, and the result is good. It has the same 3D environments as Tekken 3, and the graphics aren't too bad for a GBA game. The main difference between this game and the console installments is the pacing. This game is noticeable slower than other Tekken games. Overall this is a great Tekken game for the Game Boy Advance that is a good handeld fighter. Expand

Stripped down version of Tekken that employs scaled sprites rather than polygonal fighters and only 2 attack buttons which makes it feel more like an approximation of Tekken than the real deal. It doesn't hold a candle to the fully 3D versions but certainly a contender for the best fighting game on the Advance.

  1. Special mention going to the sound effects and music which are superb, every blow and block is recreated whilst a thumping tune plays in the background.
  2. It is incredible! I have not enjoyed a portable game this much since the Game Boy Advance's launch.

Easily one of the most technically impressive GBA games out there, and probably the best portable fighter as well.
