Due to a serious flaw in the game's single-player component, the only way to squeeze your money's worth out of this 2D punchfest is to track down two or three other people with the game and play them in linked games.
-
Though it does add a few colorful characters, a few different modes of gameplay and some novel damage concepts, Rave Master shows itself to be just barely more than yet another Street Fighter-style knock-off.
-
While my attention span is getting short and Rave Master: Special Attack Force! never really amazed me, I had fun playing it. I liked the button-mashing.. I liked experimenting with new moves.
-
It could use a little more polish in the character balance department, and the story mode is a tad short with only seven stages, but the vibrant visuals and ability to fight against multiple opponents will please those looking for some "Super Smash Bros."-style action on the small screen.

RandomPersonMar 25, 2005The characters can be annoying, so choose a good character and thrash them to bits! Interesting graphics.
