  1. Ultimately, while this compilation offers a marginally enjoyable trip down memory lane with three Atari classics, it's tough to recommend because the games are so ancient--not to mention that there's a total lack of any ancillary features. The inability to save high scores is particularly tragic.

The Pong pads are thinner then the original and can be slow to respond. The pads are thin bars are because of the screen limitations. The slow performance is probably because of the the developer was trying to emulate the classic analog paddles. A speed setting would have helped.

The speed of Asteroids is great but feels really cramped. Again the resolution of the screen is trying too hard to cram in what an analog TV would blur to create a feeling of more detail.

Yar's Revenge is a good looking port. The color are much brighter and the sprites retain color much better then the 2600 version. Resolution is still an issues and you really feel the cramped screen. This version is really slow. I'm not sure how this happens where the processor is so much more powerful.

Would I buy it? Yes, just not for the retail price. It's great for nostalgia but its not something I would go back like the original versions.
