If you have a young child who really enjoyed the movie, they will probably enjoy the game. It's a neat way to try to introduce them to some stealth gameplay as well. Unfortunately, if you aren't young, you will easily find the game too boring and repetitive.
-
Over the Hedge is far from an impressive game, especially given its ancestry and other current versions. It is apparent that amongst the handhelds, most of the attention was given to the DS version of the game, and the GBA version was simply a cookie-cutter rehash of last year's Operation Penguin from the Madagascar camp.
-
This game is numbingly boring, and frustrating in some of the levels due to the slowness of the characters' movement.
-
A simple puzzle game best suited for very young children.
-
Repetitive, bland gameplay, boring yet decent graphics and controls, and abysmal audio make this a title that will have people lining up at the local game hawker to trade it in for something better.
-
Unfortunately, Over the Hedge for the GBA is a typical example of uninspired licensed game design.
-
Though it controls fine and seems to offer something substantial at first, I couldn't recommend it for adults or children.
