Manages to capture the full-realism of 3D driving on a handheld device without having to make the graphics small and jagged.
-
To be perfectly honest, this is one of the best looking Game Boy Advance games on the market...[and] one of the best arcade style racers on the Game Boy Advance.
-
While extremely short and lacking multiplayer, Monster Truck Madness is gorgeous and still provides a fun racing experience.
-
Pocket GamesFans of the bigger versions of Monster Truck Madness will find almost everything they need in this impressive handheld version. [Fall 2003, p.48]
-
The real problem with Monster Truck Madness is that it's strictly a single-player experience.
-
Visuals are definitely the strength of the game. Controls and audio would fight for second place. Variety, unfortunately, is last.
-
A quality racing title. The lack of statistics and multiplayer mode is a shame, absolutely, but the design's core is important as well, and the racing action is definitely well produced on the limited Game Boy Advance hardware.
