Those already converted to the unique sport of monster breeding will find Monster Rancher Advance to be a fine continuation of the PlayStation series that translates very well to the Game Boy Advance.

The familiar graphics, interface and gameplay don't add anything to the series, but if you're looking for a way to raise monsters on the go, it certainly fits the bill.

If the training consisted of entertaining mini-games, then it might not have been such a big problem. But the training is so basic that the computer might as well do the training itself. Oh, wait, I forgot -- it does!
