Nintendo PowerWith rich graphics, fun combat and personalized possibilities, MRA is monstrous fun. [Dec 2001, p.172]
-
Those already converted to the unique sport of monster breeding will find Monster Rancher Advance to be a fine continuation of the PlayStation series that translates very well to the Game Boy Advance.
-
The familiar graphics, interface and gameplay don't add anything to the series, but if you're looking for a way to raise monsters on the go, it certainly fits the bill.
-
Offers nothing new to the series and seems a little less fun than previous versions.
-
If the training consisted of entertaining mini-games, then it might not have been such a big problem. But the training is so basic that the computer might as well do the training itself. Oh, wait, I forgot -- it does!
