Even though its very fun, its just over way too fast.
-
While destroying and smashing things in a non-bloody way is always fun to do, this game doesn't offer much to keep players' attention in the long run.
-
Unlike every other game in the known universe (and three or four from a small developer based in 7-Space), you can't turn off the game's forgettable music, which alas drowns out the game's weapon and engine effects.
-
Nintendo PowerThe game could benefit from a multiplayer mode, but the solo action is pretty smashing. [July 2002, p.151]
-
Game InformerThere really isn't enough game here to justify a purchase. [Apr 2002, p.89]
-
Monster Jam won't last more than a single sitting.
-
Extremely low replay value.
-
Unfortunately, for all its intensity, the experience will be very brief indeed as the lack of a multiplayer mode virtually cripples this content-light cartridge.
